Colonel David Aumuller '80, a member of Bridgton Academy's Hall of Fame, will officially retire his command of Marine Air Control Group 48 this August in Illinois. Col. Aumuller has served the United States Marine Corps with distinction and honor for many years, and we wish him the best of luck in all future endeavors.

John D'Onofrio '80 writes in response to receiving an e-newsletter, "It's always a pleasure to catch up with the latest BA news. Hats off to the football team on a great season-opener! I'm proud to be a BA alumnus."  

In a note to Bridgton Academy, Collis Brown '81 writes "BA has made a tremendous difference in my life and I hope its continued growth in these difficult times allows the same opportunities for young men as it did for me."

Bridgton Academy is saddened to report the passing of Kenneth "Kenny Bear" Pallotta '81 of Peabody, MA. 

Drew Peppe '81 is married with three children, Andrew (14), Michael (13), and Kelly (10). Drew manages a high volume Honda franchise on Long Island and reports that life is good.

Todd Thibaud '81 is working as a professional musician. About to release a new album, Todd has been playing a number of shows in the Boston area and beyond. The past few years have also included a European tour. To check out some of Todd's music, visit his website: www.toddthibaud.com.

Joe Forbes '81 stays busy running his family-owned restaurant in Wells, Maine. Still enthusiastic about BA, Joe laments that he is always missing Bridgton events because of the seasonal demands of his work. We hope to see you back sometime, Joe!

Dave Cote '81 is now a Merchant Marine, and is about to return to sea for a three-month voyage. Dave recently reconnected with classmate and Bridgton trustee, Kevin Jones '81.

Tom Dean '82 and his family are doing well, living in Auburn, Maine. The Dean's try to make it to a basketball game when they get the chance. Pictured are Tom, wife Terrie, and daughter Kathleen.




Don Evans '82
brought his family by campus for the first time during the Thanksgiving holiday.  He and his family were staying at Sunday River, and made a short detour to Bridgton on their way to Conway, NH.  "The rink looks great and I see that you added another field below the football field."

Jim Moynihan '82 and his brother, Tim Moynihan '84, hosted their annual benefit for the Ron Burton Training Village at Fenway Park this December. Grady Vigneau, Tom Austin, and Pete Gately traveled south for the event. The Ron Burton Training Village's mission is to re-focus, bring hope to, build confidence in, and enrich the lives of young men ages 11-17 in the Boston area through spiritual, educational and athletic training. It is a cause that is special for the entire Moynihan family, who has been involved in these fundraisers for a number of years. The BA delegation enjoyed taking pictures with the Red Sox trophies, except for one Yankees fan in the group!


Adam Foley '83
is doing well, living with his family in Newbury, MA. Adam has two children: a 14 year-old son named Shea, and an 11 year-old daughter, named Sydney.



David Page '83 received the Nolan Ryan Award for Major League Baseball's Strength Coach of the Year 2007 before September 10, 2009 Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays game at Fenway Park.  Congratulations, David!

LTC Dave Brigham '84, sends news from Kandahar, Afghanistan: "My guys are currently watching X-Men and there is a guy "Wolverine" (know nothing more than that), and it made me think of some real-life Wolverines. Would like to reach out from Kandahar to a few '84 Wolverines - Woodroe, Sully, Cozzie, Ben, Nando, Jethro, Skala, Q, Grey, D. Walker (go Dragons...) and I'm sure as I push send, the names will come back. Think of you often and miss those days together. I can be reached at debrigham@hotmail.com." A member of the Bridgton Academy Hall of Fame, Dave was also inducted into the Norwich University Athletic Hall of Fame on October 11, 2008. While at Norwich, Dave was the Cadet's football captain and played defensive tackle from 1984-1988. Dave and his wife, Natasha, have two young girls named Jessica and Heidi. 

Bridgton Academy is saddened to report the passing of Didier A.R. James '84 of Chester, UK, after a long battle with liver disease.

Vincent Lamparelli '84 is living with his wife and three children, Noelle (13), Nicholas (11) and Emily (9) in Illinois. In his spare time, Vince coaches for a lacrosse club U15 and U13 boy's teams. After his year at BA, Vince attended Boston College where he graduated in 1987. Since then, he has made his career in sales in the electronic interconnect industry.

Bridgton Academy is saddened to report the passing of William "Bill" Marrah '85 of Tampa, Florida.

Mike Dow '86 is living and working in Ohio along with his wife and two children. Mike teaches Construction Trades at the West Shore Career Tech Center in Lakewood, Ohio. "Would love to reconnect with other Wolverines…"

Dennis Carney '86 writes "I was sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Walker. Ed Mourad '86 called me to tell me about his passing...Ed graduated with me and we are still great friends." Dennis and his wife, Liz, have two children named Alex and Katerina, and they live on a farm in Raynham, Massachusetts.

George Eonas '86 was awarded with the Medal of Valor at the 2007 Firefighter of the Year Awards in Boston. George was recognized for his incredible bravery during a four alarm fire in Brockton, Massachusetts on July 6, 2006. "I am very proud of the actions by everyone who was involved in that fire," stated Fire Chief Kenneth Galligan. Congratulations George for this honor and your heroism.

Joe Daley '77 ran into Michael Fitzsimmons '86 on a trip to Bridgewater State College. Michael recently moved back to Massachusetts from California, and is currently working for Reebok in event management.

Eric Horn '86 was appointed to the position of Corporate Sales Manager for the Worcester Sharks, an AHL team from Massachusetts. Eric has worked for over 11 years in sports industry sales. Before the Sharks, he worked for a number of years for the Hartford Wolf Pack. After Bridgton, Eric attended Northeastern University. He is a hockey dad, and father of three.

Tom Kulig '86 is busy with his two sons, Austin age 12, and Evan age 10. He has been married for 19 years to his wife Denise, and works in Stamford, Connecticut. "I have many fond memories of Bridgton," Tom writes.

Joe Iudice '87 writes "I have recently left Microsoft after 5 years working in HQ Sales to work for one of their consulting partners in the Seattle area selling their Great Plains financial/accounting software. I love it. Seattle is treating me well.  After college, I left upstate New York and went to live in Chicago for ten years. Now I've been living in Seattle for six years and I'm not going anywhere! I'd love to send a shout out to the '87 BA Football team! I remember those bus rides back and forth from games playing Ucker in the back like it was yesterday. And where are the Potter House '87 folks these days? Royal you out there? Any of you guys reading this, I'd love hear where you're all at! David Fenton '87 writes "Wow! A long time has gone by…"Kush" & "Beeks" - you guys out there??  Over the last few years I have been thinking about the year I spent at BA and realize more and more the impact it has had on my life. I plan on visiting the school in late spring with my oldest two sons that are now freshman in high school. It broke my heart to hear about Francis Coleman '87 passing away last year- he was the nicest guy in Edwards House. I hope everyone else I got to know that year is doing well and my best as always. Mr. Gately - I remember Physic's class like it was yesterday!!! If anyone is ever in the Scarsdale, NY area please look me up."

It was almost a mini-Reunion at the Boston College Football Camp this June. Five Wolverines that now coach football were in attendance including: Matt Burgess '88 (BA Dean of Students, Asst. Football Coach); Vinny Marino '88, Offensive Coordinator Columbia University; Tim Morris '79, Head Football Coach Melrose HS; Pat Murphy '91, Head Coach St. Anselm College; Rob Eggerling '97, Defensive Coordinator, St. Anselm College; and Isai Bradshaw '02, Defensive Line Coach James Madison University.  Bridgton Academy was a sponsor for this year's  49th Annual Mt. Washington Road Race. Tom Hoag '89 and Matt Burgess '88 were the only alumni runners this year.  Both finished in fine fashion with the inevitable quote, "Why do I do this to myself," knowing full well if given another opportunity to participate they will.


Stephen Phillips '88 recently published a novel titled Proximity: A Novel of the Navy's Elite Bomb Squad.An online review read, "Stephen Phillips is the real deal; a Navy EOD Officer and front line operator in the war against terrorism. Proximity is a well crafted thriller-- enthralling, realistic and frightening. Move over Tom Clancy." Congratulations Steve!


Jay Connolly '88, a "diehard Boston sports fan," is now co-hosting a sports radio show called J-Team Radio. J-Team can be heard Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. on WCAP AM 980 out of Boston, or by listening live online at www.jteamradio.com. Past special guests include Comcast SportsNet's Mike Gorman, and sports radio legend Eddie Andelman.



While on a recruiting trip to the Washington D.C. area, Coach Marcella had the opportunity to catch-up with Dan Connolly '88. Dan and his family are doing well, and living in Virginia. During his time in the area, Marcella also caught up with Colin Parker '88.  


Kirk Douglas '89
 is in touch with a number of Wolverine alumni. He currently plays in a hockey league with George Eonas '86, and is also playing lacrosse in the ONELL league with a number of BA alumni from the Boston area.

Rob Malik '89 and his wife, Valerie, ran into Dean of Students Matt Burgess this spring. Rob and Valerie are the new parents of baby Blake.
