Capital Projects

Capital Projects are the needs and dreams identified by Bridgton Academy faculty, staff, and leaders as those crucial to our future mission success.  These are the big ticket improvements that Bridgton Academy feels it needs to make it over the next few years,  ensuring that we can grow and thrive. 

Bridgton Academy's "Rise, Sons of Bridgton" Capital Campaign
2012-2015

$4.5 Million Dollars in Capital Projects 
$500,000 Endowment

In congruence with our recently completed strategic plan, Bridgton Academy's "Rise, Sons of Bridgton" Capital Projects Initiative will further enrich our mission of preparing young men for the rigors of college and beyond by supporting opportunities to further enhance the student experience, strengthen our residential life program, and optimize enrollment.

Academic Facility Projects - Total Initiative $100,000
Renovation of Hamlin Study Center
Interior and exterior improvements to update physical plant and enhance student study space.

Overall Funds Needed: $100,000

Athletic Facility Projects - Total Campaign $2,150,000
Wolverine Athletic Complex
Construction of college-level strength, fitness, and training facility in the Memorial Gymnasium
Upgraded Facilites for Memorial Gym and Bridgton Ice Arena including
New lobby connecting two buildings
Overall Funds Needed: $1,000,000


Artificial Turf Field with Lights
Installation of lighted turf field
Overall Funds Needed: $1,000,000

Creation of Full-Sized Soccer Pitch & Baseball Field
Overall Funds Needed: $150,000

Residential Life Projects - Total Campaign $2,250,000
Modernized Residence Halls with Student Safety Upgrades
Renovation of all existing residence halls including Cleaves Hall.
Renovations to include restrooms, common areas, and construction of additional faculty apartments.
Installation of campus-wide security card access system.

Overall Funds Needed: $300,000

Construction of New 40 Bed Residence Hall
A necessary improvement to reach our optimal enrollment number of 200 students.
Overall Funds Needed: $1,000,000

Renovation of Cleaves Hall
Complete refurbishment of Bridgton Academy's most historic residence hall.
Overall Funds Needed: $800,000

Goldsmith Dining Hall Renovations
Creation of additional dining space and updated student dining experience.
Overall Funds Needed: $150,000
