Among the programs tailored to meet the needs of our students are the College Articulation Program (CAP), the Programs for Academic Support (PAS), the Writing Program, and the SAT Preparatory Program.

College Articulation Program (CAP)

Bridgton enjoys a partnership with the University of Southern Maine (Gorham, ME), University of New England (Biddeford, ME), and Plymouth State University (Plymouth, NH) which enables eligible students to include college courses in their academic programs at Bridgton.  College credits earned through the College Articulation Program usually transfer to the institution in which a student enrolls after graduation.  Approximately eighty percent of our students earn transferable college credit through CAP, and over one hundred colleges and universitites have accepted CAP courses for credit.

Currently, Bridgton Academy offers fifteen CAP courses:

Composition, Introduction to Literature, Precalculus, Calculus, Accelerated Calculus, Probability & Statistics, The American West, Early American Encounters, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Microcomputer Software, Introduction to the Internet and World Wide Web, College Chemistry I and II, Introduction to Environmental Issues, and Introduction to Oceanography.
