Our mission at Bridgton Academy is "to provide a program for young men in a unique, one-year, postgraduate environment to prepare for the rigors of college and beyond."  Because all of our students are postgraduates, we are able to offer you a program that emulates the college environment and experience, yet offers more structure and support than colleges do.  As a result, ours is not another year of high school; it is a true transition year, one in which you can improve your academic skills, and develop both strong study skills and the self-discipline to complete your work on time.  The result for our students is increased confidence in their ability both to make a successful transition to college, and to enjoy continued success there.

We hope that this website will illustrate the programs and resources provided at Bridgton Academy to help you meet these challenges.  Included among them are the College Articulation Program (CAP), offering actual college courses for transferable credit; the Learning Strategies Program, helping you to understand your own learning style and to develop strategies for academic success; and an SAT/ACT Prep program.  You will be challenged, but with help from our hands-on faculty, you will develop the confidence that results from meeting these challenges successfully.
