Current Administrative Opening: Associate Director of Admission

Bridgton Academy announces a search for a faculty position of Associate Director of Admission to begin duties in late spring / early summer 2008. This individual's primary responsibility will be to help recruit, select, and enroll new students to the School.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The faculty member will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Participate in the full range of recruiting, selecting, and enrolling new students.
  • Bring energy and new ideas to a boarding school whose admission team is charged with enrolling close to 200 students each year.
  • Interview admission prospects on and off the grounds of the School.
  • Travel for the School to represent it at college fairs / GAP year fairs, and visit other schools, programs, alumni, and parents.
  • Plan and participate in candidate selection work.
  • Evaluate applications and assist with the awarding of financial aid. ? Other duties associated with boarding school life may be included.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Two or more years of admissions experience either at the college, boarding school or high school level. As part of a residential boarding school, the candidate must be interested in working and living with adolescents. *Housing may be available with this position.
