Michael Toohey has been working at Bridgton Academy since September of 2004. Toohey attended Oxford Hills High School in S. Paris, ME and then joined Bridgton Academy as a student member of the class of 1997. While a student at Bridgton, Toohey played soccer and tennis for the Wolverines, earning end of the year awards for each sport. After completing his year at Bridgton Toohey attended St. Michael’s College in Winooski Park, Vermont where he played four years of Div. II soccer in the Northeast 10 Conference. Upon completion of his degree in Journalism and English at Saint Michael’s College, Toohey returned to Maine and worked as a painting contractor and substitute teacher before joining the Bridgton Academy faculty as a teacher, assistant coach, and dorm parent. Toohey worked for three years as an assistant before he was appointed head soccer coach in July of 2007. Toohey teaches Journalism and English, serves as the dorm parent for Walker Hall, and is the assistant coach of the Bridgton Academy tennis team.
