Bridgton Academy is a highly focused nonprofit institution dedicated to our mission of providing a program for young men in a unique, one-year postgraduate environment to prepare for the rigors of college and beyond.

As a nonprofit organization, our Academy relies on the support of alumni, parents, friends, and organizations to provide the funds needed to offer our mission and program to the 180 young men we serve on an annual basis.

Tuition generated income by itself does not cover the funds necessary to run our institution.  It is integral that Bridgton maintains reasonable tuition levels in order to assure accessibility to our mission and program to students from all economic backgrounds.  As such, Bridgton Academy depends on additional sources of revenue, such as that generated by fund-raising, in order to offer the best product and service that we possibly can.

There are three important fund-raising area that are critical to the success of our Academy:

• Annual Fund
• Capital Projects
• Endowment

Gifts to the Annual Fund offer immediate operating for all of Bridgton Academy's programs and initiatives.  Your Annual Fund gift helps run the school on a daily basis, whether providing a new library book, lab equipment for teachers, new camp lanterns for the Outing Club, or line paint for the athletic fields.  Immediate support is provided to the students and teachers of Bridgton Academy - literally days after you make your gift!

Our Capital Projects are the needs and dreams identified by Bridgton Academy faculty, staff, and leaders as those crucial to our future mission success.  These are the big ticket improvements that Bridgton Academy feels it needs to make it over the next few years, ensuring that we can grow and thrive.  Our current Capital Projects list includes facility renovations, academic improvements, and opportunities for faculty and staff professional development.

Bridgton Academy's Endowment is in some ways like a savings account.  Endowed funds are created by individuals and organizations who strongly believe in Bridgton's mission.  Gifts to the Endowment are invested into BA managed accounts where they can achieve fiscal growth and provide needed funds for scholarships, awards, and many other purposes on an annual basis.  Many gifts left through bequests are intended for the establishment of a named endowment or to add principle to an existing Bridgton fund.
