Located in southwestern Maine, Bridgton Academy is in the heart of Maine’s beautiful lakes region and in the foothills of the White Mountains of nearby New Hampshire. Long Lake is a stone’s throw from campus, and Pleasant Mountain with the Shawnee Peak Ski Resort is a ten-minute drive. Portland is 40 miles/one hour drive from campus, and Conway, New Hampshire is 27 miles/40 minute drive. Quick Links: Campus Map | Directions | Accommodations | Dining | Local Links DIRECTIONS TO CAMPUSBY CAR: From points south - From I-95 North, which becomes the Maine Turnpike, take Exit 48 (formerly exit 8) at Portland. Proceed through the tollbooth to a traffic light. Take a right and proceed through the next two traffic lights. At the next traffic light, take a left onto Route 302 West. Follow 302 West for approximately thirty-seven miles to the town of Bridgton. At the second traffic light in Bridgton, proceed straight through on to Route 117 North. Follow 117 North for three miles. Turn left onto Route 37; there will be a green and white North Bridgton-Waterford sign on the right. About one-half mile down on Route 37, take a left at the sign for Bridgton Academy. As you drive up the hill, the Academy Building will be directly in front of you. Park in the Visitor Parking between the Academy Building and the Chapel (on your right.) The Admission Office, Business Office, and Headmaster's Office are located in the Academy Building. For athletic facilities, continue on Route 37 past the campus, taking a left on to Chadbourne Hill Road just before the church. Proceed up the hill past the tennis courts, and take the left at the sign indicating the Bridgton Academy athletic complex. Bridgton Academy is about 3 hours from Boston. BY CAR: From points west - From I-93, at New Hampton, New Hampshire, take Exit 23. Proceed East for 8 miles on Route 104 to Meredith. Take a left at the lights on to Route 3 North for one mile. Turn right onto Route 25 East for about 23 miles to West Ossippee. Take Route 16 North for 16 miles to Route 113 east. Follow for two miles to Route 302. Follow 302 East for 22 miles to Bridgton. At the Bridgton traffic light, turn left and follow directions listed above. Bridgton Academy is approximately 1 1/2 hours from Route 93. BY CAR: From points north - Take I-95/Maine Turnpike South to Exit 63 (formerly exit 11) in Gray. Take Route 115 West for 3 miles to Route 302 in North Windham. Take Route 302 West for 24 miles to Bridgton. At the second traffic light in Bridgton, proceed straight through on to Route 117 North. Follow 117 North for three miles. Bridgton Academy is about 3 hours from Boston BY AIR: Bridgton Academy is served by the Portland International Jetport (1 hour), Manchester (NH) Airport (2 1/2 hours), and Logan Airport in Boston, MA (3 hours). If arriving by air to Portland or Logan, use directions from points South. For Manchester, use directions from points West. BY TRAIN: The Amtrak Downeaster offers four round-trip journeys every day between Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine. In Boston, Amtrak Downeaster trains arrive and depart from North Station; in Portland, from the Portland Transportation Center, approximately 40 miles east of Bridgton Academy.
